A More Personalized Path to Better Health
If you've tried to lose weight and keep it off, you know it affects more than the number on the scale. Obesity is a complex, chronic condition that can impact your energy, mobility and overall health.
At Willamette Valley Bariatric Institute, we take an individualized approach to treatment. Together, we'll review your health history, weight-related conditions and previous weight-loss efforts to determine whether bariatric surgery may be right for you.
For some patients, prescription medications may be considered as part of an overall treatment plan before or after surgery, depending on individual needs and goals.

Why Consider Bariatric Surgery?
Bariatric surgery changes the digestive system to support weight loss and may improve health conditions associated with obesity, including diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea.
Surgery is often considered when other approaches have not provided lasting results or when excess weight is significantly affecting overall health and quality of life.
During your evaluation, our team will discuss available treatment options and help determine the approach that best supports your long-term goals.
Support at Every Stage
Successful weight loss is about more than a procedure. It requires education, support and long-term follow-up.
From your initial consultation through long-term care, our team is committed to helping you navigate every step of the process.
Support may include:
- A care team experienced in bariatric surgery
- Nutrition education and counseling
- Pre- and post-surgical guidance
- Assistance understanding insurance requirements
- Ongoing follow-up and support
